Abstract

During the spring and autumn of 2022, moss sampling was conducted at 70 sites in the Province Vojvodina, northern part of the Republic of Serbia to measure the concentration of cosmogenic 7Be activity. The objective was to create a detailed map of the atmospheric deposition of this radionuclide, achieving good spatial resolution. The study aimed to identify areas within the selected region that exhibited varying levels of atmospheric deposition of 7Be-labeled aerosols. The measured 7Be activity concentration values (in Bq/kg) displayed a wide range with the lowest and the highest recorded activity concentrations differing by one order of magnitude. A comparative analysis of two sampling and measurement campaigns revealed significant differences in the range, mean, median, and spatial distribution of 7Be atmospheric deposition. © 2023, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.
